Revisión de sistemas de almacenamiento de energía para redes aisladas OFF GRID provenientes de fuentes renovables

Resumen

Este estudio examinó los sistemas de almacenamiento de energía para redes aisladas OFF GRID alimentadas por fuentes renovables. Se analizaron 15 casos de estudio globales, abarcando diversas tecnologías y contextos geográficos. La investigación reveló que la diversificación tecnológica fue importante para optimizar el rendimiento en entornos OFF GRID. Las baterías de iones de litio demostraron alta eficiencia y densidad energética, pero los sistemas híbridos que combinaban múltiples tecnologías ofrecieron mayor resiliencia y eficiencia económica. El análisis económico indicó que, aunque los costos iniciales fueron significativos, el costo total de propiedad a largo plazo favoreció la implementación de soluciones de almacenamiento avanzadas. La evaluación de sostenibilidad enfatizó la necesidad de considerar factores más allá de las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero, incluyendo el uso del suelo y el impacto ecosistémico. La adaptación a condiciones locales, incluyendo clima y factores socioeconómicos, resultó ser vital para el éxito de los proyectos. El estudio concluyó que no existía una solución única para todos los escenarios, subrayando la importancia de enfoques personalizados y flexibles en el diseño e implementación de sistemas de almacenamiento para redes aisladas OFF GRID.
