Formación para el servicio y la empatía en la universidad. Un criterio de calidad

La formación en servicio y empatía en la educación universitaria es un componente integral para desarrollar no solo habilidades académicas, sino también competencias sociales y emocionales esenciales en los estudiantes. Esta revisión destaca la relevancia de dicha formación en la preparación de individuos comprometidos y empáticos, capaces de contribuir efectivamente al bienestar de la sociedad. A través de programas que integran metodologías activas, uso de tecnología educativa y diálogo intercultural, los estudiantes adquieren habilidades prácticas y reflexivas que fomentan su participación activa en la comunidad y una comprensión más profunda de las necesidades y perspectivas de los demás. A pesar de los múltiples beneficios, existen desafíos significativos como la falta de recursos, apoyo institucional y resistencia al cambio, que dificultan la implementación y sostenibilidad de estos programas. Esta revisión también aborda la necesidad de inclusión y equidad en la participación de todos los estudiantes, asegurando que los programas sean accesibles y relevantes para una diversidad de necesidades funcionales y culturales. Para avanzar, se recomienda una integración más estructurada de la formación en servicio y empatía en los currículos universitarios, promoviendo prácticas que aseguren su sostenibilidad y expandan su impacto. Además, es esencial que se continúe investigando para evaluar el impacto a largo plazo de estos programas y desarrollar intervenciones innovadoras que potencien el compromiso cívico y la empatía en los estudiantes universitarios. La colaboración entre instituciones educativas, estudiantes y la comunidad es crucial para el éxito y la relevancia continua de la formación en servicio y empatía en la educación superior.
