Corticoesteroides y cirugía del tercer molar inferior

Este trabajo, tiene como objetivo buscar los resultados disponibles correspondientes al uso, justificación, efectos secundarios y eficacia de corticosteroides, con la finalidad de reducir el dolor e inflamación postoperatorios en la extracción quiríºrgica de terceros molares. Es importante conocer si en pacientes adultos, es la prescripción de antiinflamatorios esteroideos ademós de los antiinflamatorios no esteroideos (AINES), en comparación con la administración íºnica de AINES, mós efectiva para mejorar, aliviar o eliminar los síntomas de inflamación y dolor después de la extracción quiríºrgica de terceros molares inferiores. Los datos de estudio se obtuvieron mediante el anólisis descriptivo de la base de datos Medline con las palabras clave descritas. Ademós, se revisó bibliografía basada en investigaciones a estudios prócticos en pacientes, disponibles en artículos publicados en lengua inglesa y en revistas dentales.
