Pronóstico de los pacientes operados de glioblastoma tras la protocolización de la resonancia magnética cerebral postquirúrgica precoz

El glioblastoma es el tumor cerebral primario más frecuente y agresivo. La cirugía resectiva seguido de radioterapia y quimioterapia se considera el tratamiento “gold-standar”. A pesar de ello, se trata de un tumor incurable, con un 100% donde el objetivo quirúrgico debe ser la resección completa comprobada mediante resonancia magnética cerebral post-quirúrgica. Sin embargo, no existe consenso en la literatura sobre lo que se considera resección completa y ningún estudio valora la posibilidad de reintervenir precozmente, en el mismo ingreso, a aquellos pacientes con restos tumorales en la resonancia magnética post-quirúrgica. La baja supervivencia de los pacientes no necesariamente se acompaña de un mal estado funcional. Aunque lamentablemente no existe una cura, existen tratamientos para el glioblastoma. Estos tratamientos alivian los síntomas y prolongan cómodamente su vida
